Since 2007, I set sail on an unforgettable adventure with this unique pirate crew. I quickly came to appreciate their diverse backgrounds and personalities. Most importantly, despite their differences, they always had each other’s backs. What they stand up for, the perseverance to go on; it motivates me in a world where we so easily forget that we’re not all that different from each other. Luffy’s energetic optimism, his smile, his strength, courage and moral compass, his appetite for adventure; these are all examples of things I bring into my life through Luffy’s example.
Thank you for One Piece, for its example and for the journey you’ve taken us. I don’t know where we are headed at the end of it all, but I know we are always in good hands, cared for and in even better company.
